“I purchased a Campmor Safari Bow 3 Metre canvas tent in 2014. I bought a tent because I don’t like swags at all too small and claustraphobic for me. I love to go camping and a good safe nights sleep is very important to me. I did lots of research before I purchased my tent as I wanted canvas because it is strong and waterproof . So I looked at Campmor Diamantina tents they are canvas with a frame on the outside and no bloody ropes to be tripping over in the dark. So I liked what I saw and paid well over $1,000 for my tent. Quality isn’t cheap and cheap isn’t quality. So happy to say that it was money well spent. I have never had a problem at all 🙂 . The tent is very high quality with quality zips on all window flaps and door. It has a high quality zippered gauze door and windows so no flies mozzies or goannas can invade your privacy. It is easy to set up although the first time was interesting as I camp by myself and another pair of hands would of been helpful. But now it is simple because of all the practice I have had putting it up and taking it down. Have a look on Youtube they have some videos on how to erect and take down this tent very helpful. I have spent a few days and nights stuck in the tent because of heavy rain strong winds and storms no worries at all always dry and safely anchored to the ground. Happy days. Actually going to buy another one of their tents one a bit smaller as I am 60 years old now with a back injury and the 3 metre tent is getting a little too much for me to lug around and put up. So more happy safe dry camping trips ahead in my new Campmor Diamantina tent. So if you want a great quality dependable easy to set up waterproof tent that will last for years get a Campmor Diamantina you wont be disappointed. And enjoy. And to everybody who reads this Please stay safe. Regards Mr Bush Kurri Kurri NSW.” (August 2020)
“Hi, I thought I would provide some feedback on our experience. Our family of 4 kids have been camping for a few years and decided we needed to get a bit more serious about staying away for more than a long weekend.
After consulting with the staff decided upon the Canvas ‘Sheraton” (Diamantina Sheraton Majestic Tent). We had looked around at other tents but after reading the company history, knowing they had been in Sydney for as long as I could remember, and the staff also knew their product, I brought in confidence.
Our in-laws also purchased a tent from Diamantina and told us not to go anywhere else. That was last summer, and after testing the tent out in for the first time in near gale force winds (where other tents around us ripped) we came through unscathed. Since then we have had a couple of weekly camping holidays and are off again for two weeks.
The best thing about the tent is we know we will be able to get through whatever weather comes our way over the period. I’ve also just about to buy a Gazebo from Diamantina Tents, as I know the staff experience and quality will be first class.” (John)
“We purchased a Diamantina Sheraton Majestic Tent two years ago and have had several fantastic holidays in it. The tent is easy to errect, sturdy in bad weather and folds away easily.
We particularly enjoy the layout with the kids having one end and their own space. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Sheraton Majestic Tent for a family.” (Andrew)
“We love our Diamantina tent. It is so spacious and comfortable. It keeps us cool in the hot sun and dry in the rain. In fact our tent stayed dry in torrential rain that lasted about 6 hours. Not a single drip!
The sunroom is a great addition as its easy to install and take down when we require extra shade or weather protection.” (Katy)
“We purchased a Sheraton Majestic tent and have had 2 summer holidays in it. We also have the added sunroom which is great for all the extras. The tent is very roomy for the family and has plenty of windows and doors for ventilation.
We had bad weather for 6 days and were happy with how the tent performed. We had no worries when it was windy and other tents were blowing away. We have recommended Diamantina tents to friends and family.” (Mark)
“Had our first Xmas camping trip in our new Diamantina Sheraton Majestic tent. A week of 140km/h winds was a test of patience for us, but didn’t trouble the tent at all.
It was a big investment at the time and my wife wasn’t totally convinced we needed so much tent. After this trip she is in no doubt. She is already planning our next adventure. Thanks heaps Diamantina, your gear is first class” (Dylan)
“I purchased the Diamantina Sheraton Majestic tent as this seemed to be the most ideal tent for the conditions that we would be camping in. Because we live in Eastern Victoria I wanted a tent that could take the wild weather conditions we sometimes experience in the summer months.
On our first night of camping this year we did experience the worst night of all to go camping. It rained torrential rain and the winds were horrific. I was pleasantly surprised to wake in the morning to a dry tent that was still standing.
It hardly moved in the wind which was amazing! There were no leaks or tears. We have owned one other family tent that had 2 nights out in the weather and ended up completely mangled and in the wheelie bin.
We didn’t buy the sun porch sides or floor to the Sheraton Majestic tent which I have now ordered for camping this year. They are a must to purchase as when the weather comes in they will provide a dry area and wind free area other than inside the tent.
The tent was easy to erect and was up in no time. I wasn’t looking forward to putting the tent up as this normally leads to high pitched discussions! It was so easy! 4 nights camping turned into 12 nights, it was so comfortable and dry.
I would like to thank Diamantina for the service they provided and the ongoing advice they give when I phone. I love camping and thanks to you I can camp in comfort knowing that we have purchased the best tent available on the market.” (Tracy)
“After purchasing the Diamantina Sheraton Majestic tent a little under a year ago and after a few camping trips away with the family. We recently went away for a long weekend away just last weekend. The weather was absolutely terrible. We had 80mm of rain the first day along with an average of 60km winds with gusts much much higher. As the weekend went on the rain started to ease but the wind just didn’t let up 3 days and nights solid of wind. This has made us really understand what a great tent we had purchased. No rain seeping in at all and not much wind disturbance considering the conditions. Only concern we had was because of the wet weather and the ground becoming softer and wetter we started to loose a few pegs here and there so we had to purchase some larger and heavier duty pegs for the conditions.
Just saying thanks for the quality of the tent.” (Ben Hurley)

“Just returned from our camping trip to Nelligen, NSW. Our fiirst time in the DIAMANTINA SHERATON MAJESTIC. The tent was fantastic and easy to put up. We experienced a variety of weather conditions from wind to heavy rain during our week. No problem what so ever. We had several query’s on the tent from other campers that were impressed. Some even asked for a walk through. Fantastic product.” (Craig Nixon)
“We love our Diamantina tent. After camping in smaller dome tents the Diamantina Grand Palace was pure luxury. So much space for the whole family.
The storage pockets were really useful for all the bits that are easily lost during camping. Being able to open up all the sides was amazing during hot days, the awning sides (meaning side doors) were really useful for sitting under.
There are lots of ways to live in the tent, depending on where the most beautiful view is! It is really versatile.
The Diamantina staff are knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly helpful.
Thanks Diamantina for making our family holidays so fun and relaxing” (Rebecca)
“On December 2013 I purchased a Diamantina Grand Palace tent and can only say good things about it.. We were at Phillip Island over Xmas last year in these horrible conditions and survived it no problem in this tent. Would recommend and have done, this tent to anyone.” (David)
“I’ve been wanting to buy a Diamantina Grand Palace package for some years now. When we erected the tent at home to weather it we had an overwhelming interest by passers by, those driving in their cars, knocking on our door asking where we bought the tent from. Put up, the tent looks superior than any others we had to date which included great outdoors tents. This has to be the best by far. Excellent customer service from beginning to end.” (Monique)
“The first tent we purchased was the Diamantina Escape Duo 240. We found this tent very easy to put up and it has stood up to a week of bad weather the very first time we used it. Heavy wind and rain seemed no problem for the tent with no water getting in through the raised lip of the doors and no damage by the wind. 2 years later we decided we needed a bigger tent and we were extremely happy with the Diamantina quality.
It was an easy choice in purchasing the Grand Palace tent from them. The Grand Palace has held up against a couple of intense storms with no trouble. Staff are always helpful and knowledgable and we highly recommend Diamantina tents.’ (Shannon)
“We bought the Diamantina Grand Palace canvas tent and sunroom. We really liked the full side openings and felt this gave better airflow and access. We also liked the space the Grand Palace has inside and the shade area it can have when the sides are up as awnings.
We opted for canvas over polyester for long term durability and feel it will stand up to the various weather/climate conditions better and last our family for a number of years.
On a recent trip to Ulladulla our Grand Palace stood up well in heavy rain and stormy conditions and housed 4 adults and 3 children plus all our camping gear comfortably.
We really like the option of the plastic windows which velcro onto the sunroom. This allowed plenty of light while keeping the rain out.
My main advice to other users would be to listen to the advice of the team especially about putting it up before you go away to familiarise yourself with the set up and ensuring you have everything you need and weathering your canvas tent properly before using it on a camping trip.
We had the importance of weathering your tent explained to us.
We followed the advice paying extra attention to the seams and this proved invaluable as even in heavy rain we have not had any leaks inside the tent.
We are very happy with our purchases and would strongly recommend Diamantina products to anyone.
Thank you Diamantina for making our experiences so pleasurable.” (Graeme)
“Thank you so much for your prompt reply. We had our first holiday in the tent (Diamantina Grand Palace) over the long weekend. Love the tent – plenty of room for a family of 4 and pretty easy to set up. Can’t wait to use it again at Christmas.
Many thanks and kindest regards” (Robyn McKenna)
“Diamantina Villa Tents are fantastic
The Diamantina Villa 12×9 tents were fantastic. They withheld a very hot season for us and to my knowledge did not fade. The quality of the tents show little wear and tear as to be expected but we will be able to put them up again this year for our guests to use when they are sick of using their own camping equipment and want to sleep in a real bed for a night or so.” (Amy Norup, El Questro Northern Territory)
“100% score on the rain test
I like Diamantina Tents as you sell one of the best 4 dome tents in Australia that also got 100% score on the rain test!! (Diamantina Escape Duo Tent) It has extra strength too and its great quality for such a great low price!!” (Shelly Campling)
“Your Canvas Tents Are The Best
Mining company Sheffield Resources is doing some exploration work in the Kimberley region of WA and have chosen tents from Diamantina for the project. Chris Wilson has chosen the Campmor Safari Bow tents for their staff accommodation in the region. The area is so remote and the ground so rock hard, the tents have to be anchored using sandstone blocks, even though these tents are supplied with solid spring steel pegs.
“I am impressed with the quality of the tents in materials used and construction. We have had gusty strong winds throughout the month as well as fires and the tents stand strong. In the exploration and resources industry, it is imperative that our equipment can withstand extremely harsh conditions and I have full confidence that your Campmor tents will be with us for many seasons to come “. Says Chris Wilson. Field Services Supervisor.
“Still getting great use out of the Diamantina Escape Duo Tent
Hi Diamantina team
You may remember our story about us travelling around Australia using the Diamantina Escape Duo Tent which was put up on the net as a recommendation.
We are still getting great use out of the tent: I have just calculated that we have put it up 57 times for 125 sleeps. Often (and again today) we get complements on the tent and our set up, even from caravan dwellers.” (Jenny and Max)
“Enthusiastic Service !
“Last Wednesday I purchased a Diamantina Escape Mono and a Diamantina Canopy as depicted on your website. I took it away on the weekend to lake St Clair north of Singleton. The weather was a real mixed bag including 30C heat, heavy rain, and on Saturday persistent 50 kph winds with severe gusts. Where other tents of comparable size and cost were turned into Tibetan prayer flags, mine didn’t even flap, let alone leak or come adrift. Also, I have a bad back and consequently have a 10 kg lifting restriction, but unlike other brands the Diamantia canopy components are only a few kg each, which made it easy for me to carry and handle. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the tent/canopy combo to anyone.” (Brian Kelly)
“Very Popular Tents In Our Holiday Park !
The tents have proven to be very popular with great feedback from our guests. Thank you

“Diamantina Tents are the best for our tour company
“Trek Larapinta operates walking tours in the West MacDonnell Ranges which is a harsh desert environment, it is tough going for our trekkers boots and very tough on the tents that we use. In previous years we have used a variety of tents at our semi-permanent camp sites and with the harsh UV and constant use, these other tents have not handled the environment and have lasted in some cases less than 2 months. Our Company purchased Diamantina Canvas tents, in particular the Safari Bow Tents last year and used them at both of our campsites for the Larapinta Trail season (March-September) and in a word they are supurb. They are easy to erect, offer huge amounts of space, have stood up to cyclonic winds/rain/hail and have not deteriorated at all after standing in harsh desert sunlight for 6 months. The Campmor Bow Tent is a class above anything else in the market and we (and our guests) look forward to enjoying them for decades to come.” (Richard Mayne, Trek Larapinta)
“Fantastic Pegs Supplied With Diamantina Hacienda Tent
“I purchased a Diamantina Hacienda 2 room tent at the beginning of 2013 and it is brilliant. The tent pegs that came with the tent are fantastic. We were hit by a massive storm last night and not one of the pegs pulled out of the ground unlike the few straight pegs that I had holding a tarp. My question is, can I purchase the same style of peg at kangaroo tent city or order some?? The pegs have the zig zag shape” (Dan McGarity)
“Its an Outstanding Tent”
The time I spent (in the Campmor Hennie Tent) was absolutely delightful, it’s an outstanding tent, even on the nights when there was ice covering it (although, being a bit of a sook, I longed for a tent heater).
Looking forward to getting out in it again this month. It really is a fabulous tent, and it arrived very promptly.” (Elly Jackman)
